HANOI: Fifteen countries signed a sprawling Asian Trade Deal today (Sunday).
The deal was signed during the ongoing 37th virtual ASEAN Summit that started on Thursday and will conclude (Sunday).
The agreement to lower tariffs and open up the services trade within the bloc excluding United States is viewed as a Chinese-led alternative to a now-defunct Washington trade initiative.
