Firdous slams opposition of openly violating court orders regarding Covid-19

LAHORE: Punjab's Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan has regretted that the opposition parties are openly violating the court orders regarding Covid-19.

Talking to the media persons in Rawalpindi today (Saturday), she said the PDM leadership is taking law into hand in Multan and the law will take its course against them.

The Special Assistant noted that the second wave of Covid-19 is proving to be more fatal as compared to the first one and the next two weeks are very important.  She said the virus positivity ratio is high in Punjab with hospitals filling to capacity.

She said we accept the democratic right of the opposition parties but it is also our responsibility to protect the health and lives of the people from Coronavirus.  She said the opposition parties should not risk the lives of the people by holding public gatherings and they should rather use the digital platform to communicate to the people.
