PESHAWAR: The Supreme Court on Monday suspended the Peshawar High Court’s (PHC) verdict denying the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC)
ISLAMABAD: Minister of Foreign Affairs Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Saturday said that 11-party Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) opposition alliance should respect public mandate.
The Minister reiterated that Prime Minister Imran Khan will not resign on January 31 as demanded by PDM.
“Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) came to power with a full mandate and the opposition should respect that,” he said.
The Foreign Minister expressed annoyance saying, “We don't care about the PDM protest”.
He further specified, “The five-and-a-half hour long session of the PDM was fruitless and disappointment was visible on the faces of the PDM leaders.”
Talking about foreign affairs Minister stated that the Narendra Damodardas Modi’s government is threatening the peace and stability of the entire Asian region.
“The holding of inter-Afghan talks in Afghanistan and consensus on rules and regulations is welcome and PTI government will complete the second phase of the Pak-China Economic Corridor as soon as possible” he added.
