Govt adopts effective strategy to combat second wave of COVID-19: Dr. Faisal

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr. Faisal Sultan says the country is witnessing downward trend in fresh corona cases due to timely decision of closing the educational institutions.

In a media briefing in Islamabad, he said the government adopted effective strategy to combat the second wave of the pandemic, which prevented further spread of coronavirus in the country.

The Special Assistant said the main focus of the strategy is to control the disease on one hand and maintain business activities on the other hand.

He said all concerned public and private institutions are playing remarkable role under National Command and Operation Center to contain the disease.

Dr Faisal advised the citizens to continue following the social distancing, use of mask and other precautionary measures to stop increasing local transmission of COVID-19 in the country.
