ISLAMABAD:Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda has said that the government is committed for timely completion of construction of Diamar Bhasha Dam.
Addressing a meeting held in Islamabad today (Wednesday) to review the implementation plan of the project, he said that construction of the Dam is a reflection of government's commitment to meet water crises in the country.
He said that the work will be continued on this water reservoir on fast track despite coronavirus.
The Minister directed to strictly follow the implementation plan of the project. He said large number of machineries and plants have been shifted to the site.
The meeting was attended by Chairman WAPDA, Member Water, General Manager of the Project, and representatives of project management, consultants and contractors.
