Govt focusing on betterment of health sector: Balochistan CM

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan has said that the present government is focusing on betterment of the health sector to ensure provision of health facilities to the people of the province.

He was talking to the British High Commissioner to Pakistan Dr. Christian Turner who called on him in Quetta.

During the meeting, issues of mutual interest including health, nutrition program, climate change, women education, promotion of sports and agriculture sectors.

The Chief Minister said that a skills development program has been launched in the province under which technical and vocational skills are being imparted to the thirteen districts of youth. 

On this occasion, the British High Commissioner Dr. Christian Turner announced a financial grant worth £ 3.5 million with collaboration of the World Food Program for improvement of the health sector in Balochistan.

The Country Director World Food Program Chris Kaye and other high ranking officials attended the meeting.
