Govt to invest Rs111 bln in power transmission system: Hammad

Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar has announced that a massive investment of 111 billion rupees will be made during next three years into the power transmission system.

In a tweet, he said investment will be made via National Transmission and Despatch Company.

Hammad Azhar said this will increase the capability of national grid system to transmit 28,750 MW and 31,500 MW in summer of 2023 and 2024 respectively.

The Minister for Energy said in 2018, we started off with just 20,811 MW.
