Hafeez Sheikh for promotion of agriculture through implementation of Agriculture Transformation Plan
ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Hafeez Sheikh has reiterated the government's firm commitment to promote agriculture sector through effective and speedy implementation of Agriculture Transformation Plan.
Chairing a meeting in Islamabad today (Monday), he urged the concerned authorities to come up with clear action plan along with timelines and responsibility matrix to finalize different proposals including those relating agri loans and their swift processing.
He constituted a five member committee to complete the task.
Earlier, the meeting reviewed progress on the directions of the Prime Minister to enhance agriculture credit for the farming sector.
It was recommended to make Agriculture, Commercial & Industrial Purposes Act 1973 more effective by bringing amendments for swift processing of agriculture loans.
