Interior Minister visits ECP, reviews security arrangements

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has hoped the opposition parties will hold a peaceful protest outside the Election Commission in Islamabad today.

He made the remarks during a visit to a control room established at the interior ministry to monitor the law and order situation in the federal capital.

The Interior Minister said it is the first time that such a demonstration has been allowed on the constitution avenue. He said the opposition parties are allowed to hold a peaceful protest.

The Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed also visited the Election Commission of Pakistan and reviewed the security arrangements there.
