Muhammad Shoaib emerges title winner of General Tyre ITF J5 Junior Tennis Championships 2020

ISLAMABAD: Muhammad Shoaib, who represented Pakistan in Davis Cup 2019 Asia/Oceania Group I, produced a stunning performance to claim the boy’s singles title of General Tyre ITF J5 Junior Tennis Championships 2020 which culminated successfully at the PTF Complex, Islamabad.

After losing the first set, 17-year-old Shoaib bounced back in style as he kept his composure and played well his aggressive serves, passing shots, down the line winners and reading of the game were awesome. Shoaib matched fire-with-fire and fought till the end to edge out Rohan Belday of USA with the final score line of 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.

In the Boy’s doubles final, USA pair of Rohan Belday and Alexander Karman remained firm & resolute and put tremendous pressure on Nepalese duo of Aarav Samrat Hada and Aki Zuben Rawat, which helped them to win the encounter 6-3, 6-1.

High-flying Arina Valitova of Russia humbled Abhilasha Bista of Nepal in a two-set matches, 6-1, 6-0 to win the Girl’s singles title.

In the Girl’s doubles final, Abhilasha Bista (NEP)/Arina Valitova (RUS) trounced Zoha Asim (PAK)/Ekaterina Suvorova (RUS), 6-2, 6-0.
