NEPRA decides to implement CTBCM plan to make electricity market operational

ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority has decided to implement Competitive Trading Bilateral Contract Market plan to make wholesale electricity market operational and competitive by April 2022.

According to NEPRA, the plan is aimed to transform the industry into more efficient entities through introducing competition in the market.

It will ensure transparency, predictability and credibility whereby electricity will be traded like any other commodity.
