New Zealand announces squad for T20 series against Pakistan

AUCKLAND: The New Zealand Cricket Council (NCC) has announced its squad for the three-match series against Pakistan that will begin next Friday at Eden Park.

According to details, Mitchell Santner will take the skipper’s arm band for the series opener at Eden Park, whereas the second and third match will be led by Ken Williamson.

The Kiwis squad includes Martin Guptill, Scott Keglin, Glenn Phillips, Ash Sodhi, Tim Seifert, Todd Astle, Doug Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy and Blair Tucker. Lockie Ferguson has been withdrawn from the squad due to a bone stress injury of lumbar spine.

Ken Williamson will be unable to play first T20 due to personal reasons.

The three T20 matches between New Zealand and Pakistan will be played on December 20 in Hamilton and December 22 in Napier.

The first Test match between the two teams will be played in Turanga from December 26 to 30. The second and final Test Match will be in Christchurch from January 03 to January 07.

Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced an 18-member squad for the T20 against New Zealand.
