NICVD chest pain unit inaugurated in Umerkot

UMERKOT: Provincial Minister for Information Science and Technology Nawab Muhammad Taimoor Talpur inaugrated NICVD chest pain unit in Umerkot on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that chest pain unit of NICVD in Umerkot will provide the most modern healthcare facilities to the patients suffering from chest pain.

He added that now the patients suffering from cardiac attack and coming from in and around Umerkot district will have access to immediate medical care in this centre.

Later, talking to media the minister said that at present ten NICVD hospitals and sixteen chest pain units are providing services to the patients in different districts of the province.

Replying to a question  he said that four lac heart patients from all over the country have benifitted from this facility while more than nine thousand lives have been saved through procedures carried out in these hospitals.
