LAHORE: Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) made it into Round-of-16 in National Football Challenge Cup after defeating Lyallpur by 2-0.
In an important contest, PCAA dominated opponents throughout the match as they took lead in the first half. Mohammad Waheed first scored a goal in the 26th minute to take his team on top.
The first half ended well for PCAA as on the other end, Lyallpur’s players were trying hard to score an equalizer. Later on, PCAA’ Waheed scored his second goal in the 70th minute to make the lead 2-0.
In another Group D contest, Afghan FC Chaman beat Baloch FC Quetta by 3-0. Amanullah (34th), Najeedbullah (70th), and Majeed (80th) scored for the winning side.
In Group E matches, SA Farms and WAPDA held to draw by the scores of 1-1. Amir Aslam scored for SA Farms while Mohammad Ahmed netted the ball for WAPDA.
Asif Ghee Mills beat Pakistan Navy by 1-0 with Mohammad Riaz being the only goal scorer of the match.
