Pakistan effectively highlighted Kashmir issue at all int’l fora: Asif

Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said Pakistan has always effectively highlighted the Kashmir dispute at all international forums.

Addressing a ceremony in connection with the 50TH martyrdom day of Khawaja Muhammad Rafique in Lahore on Monday, the minister stressed the need to launch an vigorous campaign to resolve the long standing Kashmir issue.

He said the story of oppression on innocent Kashmiris and Palestinians is long and heart wrenching.

Talking on the democratic services of Khawaja Muhammad Rafique he lauded his struggle and contribution for strengthening democracy in the country.

He said Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf members are still enjoying privileges as Members of parliament despite tendering their resignations.

The Minister said Imran Khan used charity funds in order to conduct political activities.

Addressing the ceremony, the Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique said Khawaja Muhammad Rafique was an active member of Tehreek-e-Pakistan and all political workers played a vital role in securing an independent homeland.

He said economic stability cannot be achieved without political stability.

The Minister said Imran Khan destroyed the national economy in the process of making Naya Pakistan.

On this occasion, Minister for Economic Affairs Ayaz Sadiq said the previous government had taken record loans.

Terming the PTI government incompetent he said Imran Khan-led government destroyed the economy during the tenure.
