Pakistan's strategy in supporting Kashmiris is very effective, admits former Indian Army general

A former General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Indian army's Northern Command, Lieutenant General (Retd) DS Hoda, said that if high-speed internet is shut down on the one hand and anti-government content is not broken on the other, it will not work.

Without the support of the people, no insurgency will last for 30 years. According to the Indian News Agency, General DS Hooda said in an interview that in order to find a long-term solution to occupied Jammu and Kashmir, we need to weaken Pakistan's support and control the ongoing violence, as well as paying attention to the civilian population.

Our inability to do so has perhaps been our biggest weakness. I think a calm and clear-headed appraisal, not clouded by sentiment or rhetoric, has to be made to find lasting solutions. In my view, this is not an impossible task, General Hooda said..
