Pakistan urges OIC to impose economic sanctions against India

Pakistan has urged Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to impose economic sanctions and embargoes against India for its human rights violations in the Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The demand was made by Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Shehryar Khan Afridi during a meeting with the visiting OIC delegation, led by special representative of the Organization for Jammu and Kashmir Yousuf Al Dubai, in Islamabad.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi, Gilgit Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid and a delegation of All Parties Hurriyat Conference also attended the meeting.

Shehryar Khan Afridi said the OIC is key stakeholder of Muslim Ummah and its contact group must play its due role to resolve the Kashmir dispute.

He said India is implementing its vicious plan to alter the Muslim majority state of Jammu and Kashmir into a Hindu majority state.

Yousuf Al Dubai, in his remarks, said the OIC is concerned over the demographic change being engineered by India in the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir
