PM lauds doctors' & paramedics’ role in anti-corona fight

LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan has lauded the services of doctors and paramedics who are at the forefront in the country's fight against Coronavirus pandemic.

Addressing the Insaaf Doctors Forum convention in Lahore this evening, he said the number of Coronavirus patients is increasing due to the second wave of the virus and we must have to adopt preventive measures in this regard.

The Prime Minister said absence of vibrant accountability process has damaged our society.

Imran Khan said that corrupt political elements have joined their hands to protect their corruption.

He reiterated his resolve that indiscriminate accountability against such corrupt elements will continue at all costs.

The Prime Minister said bringing reforms in the national institutions is a continuous process.

He vowed that the process of bringing reforms in the hospitals of the country will be completed at all costs.

The Prime Minister said that Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital Lahore and Peshawar have earned Joint Commission International's Gold Seal of Approval.

He said almost 75 per cent of patients are being treated free of cost at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital.

Imran Khan urged the countrymen to observe health guideline regarding Coronavirus as the next two months are crucial, as the winter season approaches.

He said that steps are also being taken to improve the quality of medicines and lowering its prices.
