LAHORE: The Punjab government has extended parole of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz for one day.
According to details, the approval has been given by Chief Minister Usman Buzdar in response to a plea submitted by PML-N’s leader Attaullah Tarar seeking extension in parole of opposition leader in national assembly Shehbaz Sharif and opposition leader in provincial assembly Hamza Shehbaz.
The petition stated that people were still coming for condolences following the death of Begum Shamim Akhtar, so parole of PML-N leaders should be extended.
In this regard, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar's aide Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that CM Punjab has already granted parole for more days than usual on humanitarian basis.
