Punjab govt releases Rs18b to 136 Tehsil Councils for development schemes

LAHORE: Punjab government has released eighteen billion rupees to 136 Tehsil Councils of the province for development schemes being completed in the current financial year.

The Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan in a tweet today (Saturday) said the development schemes include construction of roads, drainage, clean drinking water and solid waste management.

She said that provision of funds will help in improving basic amenities infrastructure.
