Russia says it considers Israeli settlement activities illegal
Russia has termed the Israeli settlement activities in the occupied territories of West Bank and East Jerusalem illegal.
Speaking at a briefing in Moscow, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said these settlements undermine international efforts for peaceful resolution of conflict between Israelis and Palestinians.
Earlier, the United States also opposed Israeli settlement plans while a group of twelve European countries in a joint statement urged Israel to scrap plans for the construction of homes in the occupied West Bank.
