Seven soldiers martyred in terrorist attack in Balochistan

QUETTA: Terrorist fire raid on Frontier Corps Balochistan post in Sharig , Harnai, Balochistan late last night.

According to ISPR, during intense exchange of fire, 7 brave soldiers embraced shahadat while repulsing raiding terrorists.

Area has been cordoned off and escape routes have been blocked to apprehend fleeing miscreants.

A large scale search and clearance operation is in progress.

In a press release, the spokesperson of ISPR said, such cowardly acts by inimical elements backed by anti state forces will not be allowed to sabotage hard earned peace and prosperity in Balochistan.

The spokesperson said security forces are determined to thwart their nefarious designs at all costs.

Prime Minister Imran Khan also took to Twitter to send out condolences to the bereaved families. In a tweet, he wrote that he was saddened to hear about the martyrdom of the seven brave soldiers. "My heartfelt condolences and prayers go to their families," the tweet said.

Blaming Indian backed terrorists for the heinous act, the Prime Minister said that the nation stands with its brave soldiers.
