KARACHI: The Sindh Culture Day will be observed on Sunday to highlight and promote culture, language and heritage of Sindh.
The day is marked every year on the first Sunday of December all over Sindh with traditional enthusiasm and fervour to spotlight the ancient civilization and rich culture of the Mehran valley.
To celebrate this day, Sindhi men wear traditional Sindhi cap, turban, ajrak while women wear shawls and dresses with Sindhi embroidery. Concerts are held to present Sindhi folksongs.
Rallies are also taken out to celebrate the day in a befitting manner in which people from different walks of life participate with Sindhi attire. Colours are scattered to express love and harmony and demonstrate the peaceful and tolerant identity of Sindh.
