Special Assistant Shehzad Akbar's made Adviser Interior

ISLAMABAD: Changes have been made in the federal cabinet. The post of Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Shehzad Akbar has been changed and he has been made PM Adviser on Interior.

According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat, the President, on the advice of the Prime Minister, has appointed Shehzad Akbar as Imran Khan's Adviser on Accountability and Interior Affairs. Earlier, he was performing his duties as Special Assistant for Accountability and Interior  Affairs. This was also confirmed by Dr Shahbaz Gil, Advisor to the Prime Minister.
 

On the social networking site Twitter, Dr. Shahbaz Gill, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, wrote that the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Imran Khan, has appointed Mirza Shehzad Akbar as Adviser on Accountability and Interior Affairs with status of fedweral minister. Prior to that, he was the Special Assistant for Accountability and Internal Affairs.

On the other hand, Malik Amin Aslam, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Climate Change, has also been transferred. Malik Amin Aslam has been appointed Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Environment. Malik Amin Aslam will have the same status as Federal Minister.

It should be noted that legally the post of Adviser to the Prime Minister is equivalent to that of Federal Minister and Special Assistant to the Minister of State.
