ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Ijaz Ahmad Shah says strict action will be taken against those who spread disinformation regarding the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
Chairing a meeting in Islamabad on Thursday, he directed Federal Investigation Agency to closely monitor and hold the responsible ones accountable for disseminating false news regarding COVID19.
The Interior Minister said every institution and every individual must play its role in countering the pandemic.
He directed DG PEMRA to ensure that no fake news is flashed on electronic media.
