Turkey blames US for plotting 2016 failed coup in Ankara
ANKARA: Turkey has accused the United States of being behind a 2016 failed coup in Ankara.
Turkish Interior Minister, Suleyman Soylu told daily Hurriyet that it is blatantly clear the United States is behind July 15. It was FETO who carried it out upon their orders.
Since the failed coup, Turkey has detained hundreds of thousands of people over suspected links and suspended or sacked more than 150,000 civil servants.
