United Nations and Ethiopia reach aid pact for war-hit Tigray

GENEVA: United Nations and Ethiopia have reached an agreement to ensure desperately needed humanitarian aid to Tigray region where a month of war has killed large numbers of people.

In a statement, U.N. Office for coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said the agreement will allow aid workers access to government-controlled areas of Tigray where federal troops have been battling Tigray

People’s Liberation Front.
