US approves Pfizer coronavirus vaccine - Trump claims first jab will be given in 24 hours

WASHINGTON: The United States has authorised the Pfizer BioNTech coronavirus vaccine for emergency use.

In a statement, the United States Food and Drug Administration said it had notified the concerned departments to prepare for swift distribution of the vaccine.

Donald Trump hailed the development and said the first dose would be administered in less than 24 hours.
