Pakistan wants to enhance trade, economic relations with Niger: President

President Dr. Arif Alvi says Pakistan gives immense importance to its relations with Niger under "Look Africa Policy" and wants to enhance trade and economic relations with Niger.

He was talking to Niger parliamentary delegation headed by President National Assembly Seyni Oumarou in Islamabad on Tuesday.

He said Pakistan will provide educational scholarship to 100 Niger students in Pakistan. He said the Parliamentary Cooperation Agreement between Pakistan and Niger will improve bilateral relations.

The President stressed need for trade agreement on priority basis between the two countries.

Speaker Niger Assembly, on the occasion, said his country wants support from Pakistan side in different sectors. He said Niger also desires strong relations with Pakistan in business, economy, and trade and seeks Pakistan's help to boost agricultural production and build canal system. He also thanked and appreciated Pakistan's educational scholarship for students of Niger.
